TVA Reads Bookclub

May 15, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$5 – $10
TVA Reads
Come and discuss  What an owl knows : the new science of the world’s most enigmatic birds, Ackerman, Jennifer. and enjoy a vegan potluck in community. Come prepared to discuss the book.
Bring your own reusables: plate, cutlery, and drink if you wish and a vegan dish to share with about 8-10 others (this is an estimate).
TVA Reads (started as a group of the Toronto Vegetarian Association- thus the name) meets once a month on a Wednesday at 6:30. We usually have dinner,  a vegan potluck, and discuss the book. Lately, we have been meeting at the Centre for Social Innovation in the Annex, but we have also met at members’ homes and at restaurants and the park in nicer weather. This will be our first time meeting at Wishbone Labs. Please if you are able bring a small donation ($5-$10) to contribute to Wishbone Labs for use of the space.
We read a wide variety of books, both non-fiction and fiction, that are usually but not exclusively either directly or indirectly connected with vegetarianism or animals. We try to choose titles available through the public library. We also occasionally screen movies. For a list of books we have read please see the files section on Facebook under TVA Reads.
Please RSVP on Facebook group if you plan to join us so we have an idea of numbers.
